Reverse rummage sale!
The 2022 Christ Church Pueblo West “REVERSE RUMMAGE SALE” was a HUGE success!!! The community really stepped up and donated some terrific stuff!
Dozens of families were blessed by the chance to shop to their heart’s content
without it costing a penny! We are already looking forward to next year!
You are invited to pack a Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child shoebox! Stop by the church building to pick up empty shoeboxes, labels, and printed materials on how to pack a box of your own.
Fill them and then return them with $9 postage for each box (make your checks payable to Samaritan’s Purse). If you don’t want to do an entire box of your own, you may purchase or hand-craft items to put in boxes and drop those off at the church building and the items will get packed into a box for you.
If you have additional questions contact Christ Church’s OCC coordinator, Karen Anderson at 719 406-3137.
The Blessing Box
The Christ Church Pueblo West Blessing Box is fully operational and ready for your donations or withdrawals! The philosophy behind the box is printed right on the front…
“Take what you need” / “Leave what you can”.
We accept non-perishable food, snacks, peanut butter and canned drinks. Our rule of thumb is…”Please donate items that you yourself would like to eat if you were in need.” We ask that you do not bring items that are past their “sell-by” date, perishable (bread, fruit & veggies or milk), and homemade. While each item may be just fine, we can’t be sure so we would do our best to keep those accessing the box safe. Thanks! And thank you for helping our neighbors through a rough patch by making donations to the box.
If you have any questions please call the church office at 719 647-1499.
Sunday May 30th we will be back in the sanctuary for our 9:30 worship service.
If you plan to attend please call us (719 647-1499) and let us know how many people will be in your group so that we may plan for socially distant seating.
We also will require the wearing of a mask to enter the building, at least for now.
Do Good!
“Do good” tees are available!
For a $20 donation you will get one of these great and encouraging shirts!
Each shirt comes with a tag that tells you exactly how the money raised from the sale of that shirt will be used to “Do Good” such as buying groceries for a local elderly person, paying an electric bill for someone who is unemployed or providing the items to make blessing bags to be distributed in Pueblo and PW.
So how do you get yours?
You can get them by stopping by the church building in Pueblo West (1099 S. McCulloch blvd W) between 10am-4pm Monday-Thursday, after our drive-In service on Sunday, AND they are also available by clicking the “buy now” button below.
They make great gifts and they support doing good in Pueblo West and beyond.

Girl time is a chance for women of all ages to get together, make friends and enjoy some socially distant socializing. During these chaotic times it is good to have a place where you can go and both encourage others and be encouraged yourself by others.
Starting in May 2021 Girl Time will be meeting the second and fourth Tuesday of the month 10am – noon at the Christ Church Pueblo West building.
If you have any questions call Joetta Kelsen @ 719 671-3493
One of our worship team members, Zach Cooper, and his grandmother, Joanne Cooper collaborated to produce a children’s book entitled “The Adventures of Kona & King” which is now available on Amazon! We are very excited for both of them and the book. While Joanne was responsible for the text of the book, Zach produced all of the illustrations. It was a great team effort and we highly recommend the book. Get one and share it with a young person in your life!

All worship videos are available both on the Christ Church Pueblo West Facebook page and on the church’s YouTube channel. Here is a re-do from August 16 due to a technical issue during the sermon. It is on the YouTube channel if you’d like to share it.
During the early part of the Corona virus outbreak Christ Church volunteers created and delivered more than 150 “Kid Kits” to families in Pueblo West. The kits were simple ziplock bags filled with coloring books, toys, crayons, books, balls, jump ropes etc… No two kits were the same. Pueblo West families were asked via a post on the “I Live in Pueblo West” Facebook page to give the ages and genders of their children along with their address so that volunteers could deliver them to their homes in Pueblo West.
Volunteers left the kits on front doorsteps, porches or even sidewalks of homes and then they would ring the doorbell or knock and walk away. It was important that we keep a distance and yet love our neighbors. It was a huge success and more than likely “Kid Kits” will return at some point to be available to families who are dealing with difficult situations. Christ Church, it is great to see how you are stepping up during this difficult time. May God continue to bless our community through the body of Christ!

We desire to help all people fall in love with God through Jesus by lovingly serving others, intentionally building community and actively worshiping God.
Matthew 28:19-20
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Our goal is to reach out to our community in an effort to love our neighbors in a way that points to the love of Jesus Christ.
Mark 12:30-3130 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

We strive to encourage followers of Jesus to use the blessings that God has given them to in-turn bless our community.
James 1:2222 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

At Christ Church we work to meet our community right where they are and come along side them combining the love of Jesus with service.
1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Christ Church Leadership

The leadership team at Christ Church strives, first and foremost to be in the center of God’s will. In this way it is our desire as a church body to lead those who do not know Christ into a relationship with Him as both Lord and Savior. We also work to lead those in relationship with Jesus to a closer and more mature fellowship with our Savior that they too may disciple others.
